We were created to live beyond ourselves, just as Christ did. As we serve, we become more like Christ and are shaped into the people we're called to be. Service is significant whether it's in the nursery or as an usher-what counts is the heart behind it. Serving is a great way to grow spiritually, get involved and make a significant contribution to what God is doing.

Serving on a team can be one of the most rewarding things in Church Life. Jesus said it very clearly, "Whoever wants to be the greatest among you, must be the greatest servant." Our church has been built over the years with a spirit of servanthood by a committed and faithful volunteer army. The vision for our volunteer's ministry is two-fold. We ask all volunteers to attend at least one service and to serve in a service over a weekend. There are a couple of things to think about as you serve on a team:

Attending Service
It is very important that as you serve on a team, you and your family are actually in a whole service just for you every weekend. We always want to be serving from a position of strength. Attending services weekly and being spiritually encouraged sets us up to be great volunteers.

Serving
We try to make it easy for everyone to serve in our church, so there is no set minimum requirement or amount of time you can serve. Ideally the majority of our volunteers are serving in a service each weekend, however if you can only serve every other week or once a month then we can make room for you too.

We encourage everyone to get involved somewhere by doing what we call a First Serve. A First Serve is just a test drive to see if the team is a good fit for you. After you've done a First Serve on a team, you can decide to join that team, or do another First Serve on a different team.
