The Life Church of Memphis

Our goal at The Life Church has always been to impact as many people as we possibly can with the message of God's love. God has done some incredible things over the last eleven years and we're excited about what's ahead. Our vision for our city, our nation and our world is expansive and will take great faith and significant resources to accomplish.

We've seen incredible momentum and excitement around Kingdom Builders and our yearly Miracle Offering over the past two years. To build on that solid foundation, we are launching a new initiative called Kingdom Life, which will encompass Kingdom Builders, the Miracle Offering, as well as a new community of givers called Kingdom Partners.

We know that the best is yet to come and are excited to have you be a part of all that God is doing!

We are in an incredible season in the life of our church and have been experiencing awesome growth for the past few years. As we see in Isaiah 54:2, we must be constantly preparing and making room for all that God wants to do in and through our church. We are excited about the opportunities on the horizon: expanding our current facilities in Cordova, purchasing land, launching more campuses and opening an outreach center - all for the purpose of reaching as many people as we can with the message of God's love.

God has called the church to be a creative, significant force in the world that provides solutions to the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of people. Some of our key areas of strategic emphasis include developing our local and global outreach programs, expanding Damascus Road and other leadership development opportunities, and reaching and discipling the next generation. As we focus on these key areas of our ministry, we can exponentially increase our ability to reach more people for Jesus.

Kingdom Life brings together people who share a passion for building God's House through financial giving, providing them a chance to connect with like-minded individuals, receive leadership training, and build new friendships, all while serving their local church. Through our Kingdom Life updates, yearly Miracle Offering, Kingdom Builders, and Kingdom Partners we will all have an opportunity to invest in resourcing the vision of The Life Church of Memphis.

On Saturday the 28th we had our first Kingdom Partners reception here at the church. 39 people came and it was a great chance to talk more about the new Kingdom Life initiatives. Since our last web update, we have come to an agreed upon price of $405,000 for 5 acres of land directly behind our Cordova campus (this was part of the original 15 acres we had previously considered). This land would enable us to build a new parking lot with access to Dexter Road, and have another entrance in the rear of the building. This will also give us the parking capacity we need to double our current auditorium size and expand into the adjacent 14,000 square feet. Please pray with us for wisdom and favor, and also about what your part will be in the upcoming Miracle Offering on November 2.

We had an incredible time together at our first Kingdom Builders dinner of the year. It's an exciting season for our church. Some amazing things have happened, are happening and are about to happen! Even now, we've been presented with an opportunity to purchase an additional 15 acres at our Cordova campus. In addition to the land, we would also acquire about 30,000 square feet of space that includes classrooms, a gymnasium, and a chapel - great spaces that would allow us to expand our community life arenas to include more classes and add things like soccer and basketball leagues. God has been so faithful to us and we can't wait to walk in all of the good things he has in store for us as individuals and a church!
