The ministry school of The Life Church
Damascus Road is now accepting applications for the 2008-2009 school year! Damascus Road is a 9-month ministry internship of The Life Church of Memphis designed to equip and develop emerging leaders to fulfill their calling through the local church. Damascus Road provides several environments for students to grow and develop as Christian leaders: 1. Weekly ministry training classes Damascus Road classes provide a setting for interns to learn practical tools for ministry, gain a Biblical leadership perspective and receive from pastors and other ministry leaders. 2. Serving weekly on a ministry team One of the best ways to learn is hands-on experience! Interns have an opportunity to gain experience through serving on teams for weekend services and during the week experiencing the day-to-day ministry of a local church. 3. Trips and retreats Damascus Road interns will participate in various team-building exercises, retreats and mission trips to complete their ministry internship experience. We have both part-time and full-time internship options to choose from: Part-Time • Attend classes one night per week • Serve in weekly services at The Life Church • Participate in various ministry activities each month • Participate in prayer times • Go on retreats • Participate in various outreaches and special events Full-Time • Attend classes one night per week • Serve in weekly services at The Life Church • Participate in various ministry activities each month • Participate in prayer times • Receive in-depth classroom teaching • Go on retreats • Participate in various outreaches and special events • Go on an international mission trip • Have a role serving in specific ministry areas • Participate in Bible studies • Receive practical, hands-on ministry training • Attend staff meetings • Assist at church during office hours • Have weekly ministry responsibilities If you have questions, email BJ Cooper at bjcooper@thelifechurch.com.
